Universal Mounting Plates for C8, and Meade 8" SCTs
These plates mount on top or bottom of SCTs and have mounting holes
for several configurations. Machined from 1/4" aluminum plate, powder
coated black. Uses existing mounting holes on the scope and includes
hardware to mount the bar to the scope.
Our Dovetail Bars attach to the Mounting Plates to mount SCTs on
CGx-EQx-Vixen-LXD55 type GEM heads. Plates are available with
dovetail bars for either 1.7" wide Vixen/Synta/Orion type saddles or 3"
wide Losmandy/Televue type saddles.
Does not fit some late model C8 versions! - - Celestron 8" OTA Warning!
Our universal rails can be screwed to the Mounting Plate for attaching
piggyback scopes, balance weights, etc. Accessory links below.
Three 1/4-20 tapped holes in the plate allow the scope to be mounted
on camera tripods or other systems using 1/4-20 hardware.
Unpainted plates are shown, but they are actually powder coated black.
