2" Crayford Focusers for Refractors
These solid GSO Crayford focusers can transform your scope into
a dream machine! The factory focuser is the weakest link in most
imported scopes. Sticky grease, rough racks, shims and springs
for crude adjustment, and bad feel are common.
Bolt on our Crayford focuser and enjoy smooth operation, great
feel and precise adjustability. The draw tube and unified
compression ring visual back are machined from solid aluminum,
clear anodized, and ride on precision bearings and a roller shaft.
No grease or plastic glides! The 1/8" thick-wall drawtube is
internally baffled and anti-reflection blackened.
The bodies are black anodized machined aluminum and have tension
and lock controls that adjust the focuser anywhere from a very
light feel to fully locked. Whether it's a light eyepiece or a heavy
camera, control is smooth and precise, with no image shift,
backlash, stickyness or bumpy feel.
The two speed versions have a 10:1 ratio reduction knob for
super fine focus control!
The Refractor Crayford Focusers have 80mm travel. Weighs 1.5 lbs.
Minimum in-focus length from scope tube to 2" barrel is 3.6".
Flanges are drilled and tapped for three M4 screws.
#FRM2 flange outside diameter is 86mm or 3.4" to fit 3.5" OD tubes.
#FRM3 flange is 96mm or 3.8".
#FRM2 Fits Orion ST80, AT-1010 and NightHawks perfectly!
#FRM3 fits Orion ED80 and ED100, 102mm from Orion, Skywatcher,
Celestron, Konus, etc
Please note, due to the oddly long drawtubes on the Meade AR5 and
AR6 refractor factory focusers, an extension is often required with
replacement focusers in order to achieve focus. Our #ET35 extension
is a good choice for most applications.
#RDPC is the finder mounting shoe for Orion/Synta style finder
bases, mounts on the Refractor Crayford Focuser in existing holes,
no drilling. Fits on left or right side. Aluminum base with stainless
steel hardware.
Adapter rings are available for 3.8", 4.4" and 5.4" ID tubes for
Synta Refractors (Skywatcher, Celestron, Orion, Konus, Etc.),
Meade AR5 and AR6 and Antares 1208, 12012, Bresser Messier AR-152L/1200.

A Synta (Skywatcher, Orion, Celestron, etc.) ST-80 f5 with #FRM2
replacing the stock focuser. It simply bolts on using the three
original screws! Same minimum in-focus as the original focuser.
Both 1.25" and 2" diagonals have plenty of focus range.
