Secondary Dew Shield for 16" Dobs with 3.5" Secondary
Many 16" Dobsonian secondary mirrors have much of their back side
and mount exposed to radiative cooling to the the sky, contribuiting to
dewing of the important side of the mirror. Shielding the secondary
holder and mirror from the sky, without increasing the central
obstruction, can delay the onset of secondary dewing and extend
viewing time before relying on heaters.
This light-weight shield attaches to the secondary holder hub without
interfering with the secondary adjustment screws or knobs. Peel and
stick to the front (back?) of the secondary holder. 3.5" diameter.
