Artificial Star for Telescope Collimation
This artificial star provides a consistent, stable reference for telescope star
collimation. Can be used in lieu of an actual star without concern about
star drift and seeing conditions, allowing a head start for the evening.
Features a 18,000 mcd ultra-white LED with a 100 micron precision aperture.
Sits on a horizontal surface and also has 1/4-20 threaded insert for tripod
mounting. Positioned about 100 feet from the telescope is a good starting
distance. Powered by two included AAA cells, power switch on the rear
panel.
